ANTIQUE Butter Press w/Flower Design

For lovers of "Prim" decor, or antiques, we present this antique butter press!

I purchased this butter press/butter stamp from an antique store in Pennsylvania. I was told at the time that the press dated to the late 1800's. The press is circular and wooden, with a stylized leaf design in the "press" part of the item.

You may notice that the "press" part has various crack on its wooden surface; I purchased it this way and decided to admire its patina. There are also a few small stains/discolorations about its body, which I think would be likely in a piece of this age. One part of the outside also has some "carve marks" which appear to be marks made when the outside mold was actually being carved, and seems organic to piece. Overall, this stamp seems to have a rustic and charming patina.
You may use it to decorate you kitchen or Prim home, or admire it for its historical value:
