ANTIQUE Pair Tin Candleholders from 1908
For lovers of antiques or PRIM decor, here is a pair of old candlestick holders for your consideration.
I purchased this pair of handlholders from an antique store in Pennsylvania a decade ago and it's tag dated them at 1908. They are made out of tin in the colonial style where there is a loop at one end of the wide base for one to put their finger in to carry the holder.
There is also a lever at the side of each holder, meant to push the candle upwards as needed, but both levers are jammed, likely from the buildup of candlewax over time. I have not managed to clear the wax, and have only used these two as decorative pieces. You may also not by the pictures that both one of the holders appears to be rusted, and both have stains/patina as expected with age. I have not tried to clear this, as I am no metals expert, and will leave it to the buyer's discretion as to how, or if, they wish to handle these signs of wear. The price of this pair has been reduced to reflect this.
They still hold candles well, though you will see old wax when looking further into the candle well, but they make for lovely decorations, and are particularly ideal for colonial or prim home style.
(While you MAY burn candles in these holder, please note that you will have buned candle wax residue to deal with.)
